Turner Family Showcase was a monthly program that aired on Cartoon Network from March 5, 1993 to 1995.
Introduced by Ted Turner, Turner Family Showcase presented animated features based on classic stories and was intended to encourage family reading. Among the films presented on the series were Gulliver's Travels, The Phantom Tollbooth and Charlotte's Web, as well as An Evening with Dr. Seuss, a collection of specials based on stories by the author.
During the show, bumpers would air featuring trivia relating to the featured story, as well as recommendations from the American Library Association for other stories with the same theme or author. In 1994, the series received an award from the National Education Association.
On February 26, 1995, it was replaced by Mr. Spim's Cartoon Theatre.
