Steven Spielberg presents Tiny Toon Adventures is an animated television series created by Tom Ruegger. Notably the first collaboration between Warner Bros. Animation and Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment, it originally aired on 1990-1992, with its first two seasons running in syndication (though the first episode premiered as a prime-time special on CBS) and the third season running on Fox Kids. It also spun off Warner Bros. Animation's first direct-to-video movie, Tiny Toon Adventures: How I Spent My Vacation, in 1992.

Plot[]

An indirect spin-off of Warner's Looney Tunes shorts, the show focused on the adventures of a group of young cartoon characters who attend a school named Acme Looniversity, where they are taught by the original Looney Tunes characters they themselves are based on.

Trivia[]

  • Tiny Toon Adventures' appearance on Cartoon Network in 1999 followed its younger sibling show, Animaniacs having officially joined the network the previous year. Interestingly, this was not the first time such an occurrence had happened, as Tiny Toons reruns had begun running on Kids' WB! two years after Animaniacs had moved to that block. This would not be the last time Tiny Toons seemingly followed Animaniacs to another network, either; Tiny Toons returned to Nickelodeon in September 2002, a year after that channel had picked up Animaniacs, and about a decade later, when Animaniacs was picked up for reruns on the Hub Network in December 2012, Tiny Toons followed just seven months later.
  • This show was also more popular in Italy, along with Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain and Freakazoid!.
  • In Japan, this show, along with Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain was shown on TV Tokyo, and then, along with Freakazoid! on TV Asahi.
