Smelly Telly was a Cartoon Network on-air promotion that lasted from April 26-30, 1999.
The promotion occurred during new Cow and Chicken episodes that aired every day that week at 8:30pm. To play, viewers would rub a number on special rub-and-sniff cards in accordance with the number that appeared on-screen during the show. Smelly Telly rub-and-sniff cards were available to for free via mail-in requests, as well as at Warner Bros. Studio Stores and inside that month's issue of Sports Illustrated for Kids.
Tying in with the promotion was the "Odor Decoder" on CartoonNetwork.com, in which viewers who watched Cow and Chicken could gain codes that would unlock secret games and downloadables.[1]
