Cartoon Network's late-night programming block Adult Swim signs off at 6am every morning.

There have been different sign-offs used for Adult Swim.

Pool era (2001-2003)

We see a swimmer who needs to get out of the pool, then the "EXIT" sign and the Adult Swim logo appeared. Used on September 2, 2001, to January 5, 2003.

Intertitle cards era (2003-2010)

It simply shows a playlist of each music. Used on May 25, 2003, to December 2004.

Adult Swim is Your Friend

A still bumper with blue (or black) tiles reading "ADULT SWIM IS YOUR FRIEND." Used in May 2004, to December 26, 2010.

We see the places of America, including a lake with wheats, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Washington Monument, the horses running, the planes flying, Mount Rushmore, a bald eagle flying, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, and finally the American flag. Used on July 29, 2014, to August 31, 2014.


It shows a time-lapse of 1065 Williams Street NW in Atlanta, Georgia. Used on September 1, 2014, to May 11, 2019.

8-Bit America

We see the Adult Swim characters (in an 8-bit style) are living in the places of America, which has:

  • Eric Andre, Kraft Punk and Hannibal Buress as the Lincoln Memorial.
  • Jared, The Warden, Gaz and Baby Ball at the Washington D.C.'s capital.
  • Carl and Space Ghost at the Washington Monument.
  • Harvey Birdman as the Statue of Liberty with the Mooninites flying around.
  • Early and Rusty sitting on the Golden Gate Bridge.
  • Tim, Eric, Dr. Brule, D.L. Hart and Richard Dunn as Mount Rushmore.
  • Rick and Morty at the White House.

Used on May 12, 2019, to July 25, 2019, and again on August 2, 2019, to December 31, 2019.




We see the morphing Adult Swim characters (such as Moltar, Rick, Morty, TOM 6, the Aqua Teens, Dethklok, etc.) in the psychedelic background that changes, followed by the glowing, pink [as] logo (with light blue streaks) in the black background at the end. Used on January 1, 2020 to the present.
