OK KO let's play heroes is a Beat 'em up action video-game based on the 2017 Cartoon Network original series OK K.O.:Let's Be Heroes! The game was released on January 23, 2018.

Story[]

Lord Boxman has hacked into Pow card HQ and resets every hero's level back to 0 which results in havoc for heroes. It is up to K.O to raise the morale of everyone in the plaza to help unlock their Powie Zowies to recover their power levels, while increasing his own. As well as teaching Boxman a lesson he won't soon forget.

Gameplay[]

The player takes control of K.O. and can explore the main hub Lakewood plaza. K.O. can talk to characters from the show to get hints or start side-quest. K.O. will occasionally be required to fight Boxmore's robots in side-scrolling beat 'em up sequences, they can also be accessed anytime in a Boxmore branded box found in spots in the plaza.

K.O.'s power moves consist of uppercuts, punch combos, low kicks, etc. Throughout constant battling K.O. will fill up the Powie Zowie meter which will allow him to call a hero on any obtained POW card for assistants in battle. K.O. can hold two POW cards during each battle. At the end of every battle a piñata in the likeness of Lord Boxman drops down, breaking it will drop stat boosters.

K.O. can receive money at the end of the day or from side-quest to buy items for battle or to use on the POW card machine. Browsing the plaza K.O. can complete side quest for characters which can unlock their Powie Zowie or items for combat.

Trivia[]

  • The game uses a different art style from the show.
  • The Nintendo Switch version of the game was released much later, October 30th roughly ten months later.
  • A character named "Punchy" (a living punching bag) is exclusive to this game and is never seen in the show.
