The Jonny Quest Farewell Marathon was a 20-hour marathon, spread over two days, that served as the final airing of the classic Hanna-Barbera series Jonny Quest on Cartoon Network. The marathon, which saw all 39 episodes of the series (including the 13 episodes of The New Adventures of Jonny Quest) air one final time on Cartoon Network, aired on Saturday May 4, 1996 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday May 5, 1996 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.[1]
The sendoff of the original Jonny Quest series paved the way for The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, a new animated series debuting in August of 1996 on the Cartoon Network.[1]
The last episode aired during the marathon was the first that originally aired in 1964, "Mystery of the Lizardmen".[1]
