Let's Go!, also known as Prefuse, was the ninth and alternate branding for Cartoon Network that aired concurrently with the Noods era from November 30, 2009 to May 28, 2010.

The era's design is heavily influenced by punk rock design and was made to cater more to teenagers and young adults, as most of CN's programming at the time was being targeted toward that demographic. The era's design and music are also reminiscent of Adult Swim bumpers.

History[]

Between June 12, 2009 and May 28, 2010, Cartoon Network had a new screen bug (in which the logo's colors are inverted) in favor of the CN Real block. However, the original Noods bumpers and split screen credits remained until the debut of the CHECK it era during regular hours.

The first set of bumpers showed several characters from Cartoon Network shows interacting with an environment filled with rips of static, color bars, and other patterns. This set of bumpers started with the 60-second spot in November 30, 2009, then the full set on January 19, 2010, replacing the "billboard" bumpers.

From February 8, 2010 to May 28, 2010, there were a second set of bumpers with Nood dolls being covered in silver or multicolored confetti, transformed into a Chia Pet, getting spilled with black ink, whiteout, or red paint, and getting covered with dirt by a motorcycle.

Both sets aired in primetime hours (7pm-10pm) while the regular Noods bumpers aired in daytime hours.

Trivia[]

  • The name "Let's Go!" is named after the song "Blitzkrieg Bop" by The Ramones, which was featured in the era's 60-second spot.
    • "Prefuse" is named after music producer Prefuse 73, whose music was used in the 2010 "Up Next" bumpers during this era.
  • Monday Nights (the block that replaced Har Har Tharsdays) used the graphics of the first set of bumpers on their promos when it first launched. When the era was eventually phased out for CHECK it, the graphics for Monday Nights stayed the same for the month of June.[2]
  • Fans describe this era as the beta CHECK it, due to the color palette (predominantly black and white), mood, and approach of the bumpers having the same feel. This might have been the case if Cartoon Network wanted a smooth transition from Noods to CHECK it.
