Cartoon Cartoon Summer is a former Cartoon Network programming block that aired during the Summer of 1999 (June 7-August 22), 2000 (June 5-August 27) and 2001 (June 4-August 26). The block aired every weeknight during the Summer and featured Cartoon Cartoons exclusively.

Cartoon Cartoon Summer 1999[]

In 1999, Cartoon Cartoon Summer aired Monday through Thursday, including the Cartoon Cartoon of the Day block, a spotlight showcasing each day's Cartoon Cartoon episode daily at 9:00am, 3:00pm and 9:00pm.

On Fridays during the Summer, Cartoon Cartoon Fridays was launched, which aired from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM and featured Dexter's Laboratory, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Cow and Chicken, The Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, I Am Weasel and the What a Cartoon! Show.

Throughout the Summer, Cartoon Network premiered new episodes of current original series during CCF, as well as a sneak preview of Courage the Cowardly Dog and a new Cartoon Cartoon short, "King Crab: Space Crustacean". The Summer culminated with a Cartoon Cartoon Weekend marathon which aired from August 20-22, 1999.[1]

Cartoon Cartoon Summer 2000[]

In 2000, Cartoon Cartoon Summer was extended on Mondays-Thursdays by half an hour and aired from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM and featured four Cartoon Cartoons: Johnny Bravo, Ed, Edd n Eddy, The Powerpuff Girls, and Dexter's Laboratory.

On Fridays during the Summer, Cartoon Cartoon Fridays aired from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM and featured Johnny Bravo, Ed, Edd n Eddy, The Powerpuff Girls, Cartoon Cartoon Show, Dexter's Laboratory, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and Cow and Chicken.

Throughout the Summer, Cartoon Network premiered 13 new episodes of current original series during CCF, as well as 11 original series pilots during the Cartoon Cartoon Show. The Summer culminated with a Cartoon Cartoon Weekend marathon which aired from August 25-27, 2000.[2]

Cartoon Cartoon Summer 2001[]

In 2001, Cartoon Cartoon Summer was extended on Mondays-Thursdays by half an hour and aired from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM with the addition of Courage the Cowardly Dog.

On Fridays during the Summer, Cartoon Cartoon Fridays aired from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM and featured Johnny Bravo, Ed, Edd n Eddy, The Powerpuff Girls, the Premiere Premiere Show (which functioned the same way the Cartoon Cartoon Show had the year before), Dexter's Laboratory, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and Time Squad.

Throughout the Summer, Cartoon Network premiered new episodes of current original series during CCF, as well as 10 original series pilots during the Premiere Premiere Show. The Summer culminated with the Cartoon Cartoon Fridays: Big Pick Weekend marathon which aired from August 24-26, 2001.[3]
