Edternal Summer was a special 8-hour Ed, Edd n Eddy marathon that aired on Cartoon Network on February 25, 2001[1] from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The marathon aired during the dead of Winter and, as the name suggests, was meant as an ode to Summer.
The trailer for the marathon was done in the style of a Soviet propaganda video, with faux cyrillic, marching Planks akin to marching soldiers, and calls for a revolution with the clips edited to resemble the Eds rallying the people. The song that plays in the background is The Song of the Volga Boatmen, a famous Russian folk song that gained traction through the Soviets durring World War II.
