In development Title Notes
Early-late 2000s Untitled Samurai Jack film A live-action Samurai Jack film that would serve as the series finale was being produced as early as 2002 but was later abandoned due to The Powerpuff Girls Movie failing at the box office.

Later in 2007, Frederator Films began developing a stereoscopic 2D film that would have had a 20 million dollar budget but it never materialized.

Sony Pictures Entertainment expressed interest in making a film in 2012, but nothing came of that either.

Eventually, a fifth season of the series ended up being made for Adult Swim in 2017.

2015 Untitled Adventure Time film An Adventure Time theatrical film had began development in 2015 but never materialized. According to Muto in 2018, the film had never been officially announced. Later in 2018, Muto stated the finale would not affect potential for a movie nor would it lead into one.
