Cartoon Network Latin America (CN LA) (Spanish: Cartoon Network Latinoamérica, Portuguese: Cartoon Network America Latina is a cable, television channel based off the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned Cartoon Network (United States) for the Latin American region and the Caribbean. It is operated by Warner Bros. Discovery Americas and started broadcasting on April 30, 1993. It is divided into five feeds, all originating from its central headquarters, Atlanta, Georgia, in the U.S. Four are in Spanish (one for Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and the rest of Latin America with Colombia's schedule), and one is in Portuguese for Brazil. It airs primarily shows and animated programming that are marketed to children and teens. Outside of Latin America, the Latin American feed is an associate member of the Caribbean Cable Cooperative.[6]
Feeds
Cartoon Network Latin America is divided into three feeds for its distribution in the region: all signals are generated separately or from the central headquarters in Atlanta.
- Signal 1: Mexico: in Mexico.
- Signal 3: Brazil: in Brazil (as an Independent Feed) (the only Feed with non-Spanish language).
- Signal 4: Panregional: in Venezuela and Colombia and also used for the rest of Latin America.
Eras
The channel periodically applies a different look (era), that includes a set of branding with several bumpers, IDs, etc..
Checkerboard & Starburst Era (1993–1998)
Practically the same as the American versions of these bumpers, except dubbed in Spanish and Portuguese.
Powerhouse Era (1998–2004)
Mostly the same as the English bumpers, except that the replacement of the Powerhouse music that affected the bumpers in English-speaking countries didn't so on Latin America, Block era bumpers were also being used between 2003 and 2004.
CN City Era (2005–2010)
CN City was rolled out in Latin America on January 1, 2005 and ended on August 6, 2010, long after the look had been discontinued in other countries.
In March 2008, Cartoon Network LA introduced new locally produced content, a new campaign with a new image, and the complete redesign of its website.[7]
Toonix Era (2010–2012)
The channel started to use a new identity, similar to the Noods on the American channel, starring blank white dolls that can become various colors or characters of the channel. The Toonix bumpers first appeared on an occasional basis to promote the 2010 World Cup. Then, at 12:01 AM on Friday, August 6, 2010, the Toonix branding became permanent.
It was during the Toonix era, on January 1, 2012, that Cartoon Network LA received the 2010 logo that had been adopted by all the other CN channels. It was around this time that the channel began experimenting with airing live-action programming
CHECK it 1.0/2.0 Era (2012–2014)
The CHECK it era reached Latin America on September 3, 2012, being based on the American CHECK it 2.0 (YEEEAUHHHH!) rebrand, and using European CN bumpers featuring CN characters from the shows of the time.
CHECK it 3.0 Era (2014–2016)
On August 4, 2014, the channel adopted the 3.0 era and changed its aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9 across all its broadcasts as the rebranding week progressed. The aspect ratio change occurred on August 4 for Argentina, and the following Tuesday for the pan-regional feed. That year, the channel almost completely abandoned live-action programming.
Check it 3.0 and generic bumpers continued to be used alongside the 4.0 era until the middle of the Dimensional era, when the remnants of Check it 3.0 were removed.
CHECK it 3.5 Era (2015–2016)
Used in conjunction with CHECK it 3.0 from August 2015 until the 4.0 era change, it featured slightly different end tags (similar to 3.0, but with CMYK backgrounds instead of black or white), a new format for sponsorship bumpers, and a new batch of "music-toon" bumpers. and on November, CN Blah (CN Sayin' localizated version) were added to the channel, replacing older bumpers from the previous rebrand.
CHECK it 4.0 Era (2016-2017)
On January 4, 2016, the channel adopted the CHECK it 4.0 era, though 4.0 bumpers where started to be seen on December 2015 on the "Skips Memories" special and promos.
Dimensional Era (2017-2022)
On January 1, 2017, the channel was rebranded to the Dimensional era, using graphics from the US channel, but translated in Spanish and Portuguese, and the NEW NEW NEW NEW slogan was adopted. On late 2019, new bumpers were added to the channel, and several weeks later bumpers based on the Mashup rebrand were added. Since June 2021 the channel does not use the coming up next bumpers anymore, and are replaced by generic bumpers
Redraw Your World Era (2022-2023)
On April 1, 2022, the channel was rebranded to the Redraw your World Era. On June 17, 2022, new bumpers from the graphic era arrived on Cartoon Network LA. On July 29th, the first promo using this graphic was released in the region, being a promo for the July special: Lo Mejor de lo Mejor (The Best of the Best). The branding currently shares screen time with some Dimensional era bumpers as well as promos and bumpers from the Cartoon Network + HBO Max graphics.
Pastel Era (2023-Present)
On November 7 2023, the channel has officially rebranded to Pastel, making the 3rd channel to use it after Canada and the US.

Cartoon Network's 20th Anniversary logo
From April 1, 2013 until April 30, 2013, Cartoon Network Latin America aired a series of old cartoons and bumpers promoting every single one of their works as apart of Cartoon Network's Twentieth Anniversary. The bumpers were highly praised for their creativity by older Cartoon Network fans, though the bumper that stood out the most was a bumper (about approximately five minutes) showcasing every single one of Cartoon Network's original creations (including only their most popular acquired programming) in a series of very detailed animation architecture that ended with all of the characters appearing in a grassy field celebrating Cartoon Network's Twentieth Birthday. From the looks of the anniversary promos, Ben appeared to be in his current Omniverse look with none of his previous counterparts appearing in either line of bumpers.
