CN Bold (also known as Lubalin Graph ITC Turner Bold on its metadata) is a typographic font used for Cartoon Network's CHECK it and Dimensional era. It is used to promote shows, title cards, and other promotional considerations. It is spun-off from ITC Lubalin Graph Std, which itself is spun-off from ITC Avant Garde. both are famous PostScript fonts used in other multimedia that are even non-Cartoon Network related. It supports Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic scripts.
In comparison to the original typeface, only the 700pt weight (i.e. the Bold variant) was used on Cartoon Network's branding, and the edges on most glyphs have been rounded off to give a softer appearance. Early variants also supported custom characters for key bumper words ("NOW", "NEXT" and "LATER") which were used in CHECK it 1.0 bumpers. Some stylized alternates from the original font were carried over for the "A", "V" and "W" characters with a more angled appearance.[citation needed]
This font was also seen on the title card for OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes episode "Crossover Nexus" along with the 2010 Cartoon Network logo.
