Atomic Betty is a Canadian-French animated television series produced by Atomic Cartoons, Breakthrough Films & Television, and Tele Images Kids. Additional funding for production is provided by Teletoon in Canada and M6 and Télétoon in France.

The former half of the show's run premiered on Cartoon Network in the United States before that channel decided to pull the show from the lineup due to changes in management, as of January 1, 2006; it is unknown if Cartoon Network will ever broadcast it again. After a 4 1/2-year long hiatus, Atomic Betty returned to the U.S. airwaves on The Hub and the latter half of the show's run premiered there.

Cartoon Network has a contract with Atomic Cartoons & Teletoon to show Atomic Betty, which still exists in some parts of the world since it doesn't air on the U.S. or U.K. versions of the channel anymore.

Also, there was originally going to be an Atomic Betty Redux which features Betty as a teenager or a young adult; this is set after the final half-hour episode of the show's third season where characters from this pre-teen show format arrive to the future. However, after a decade of development hell, Atomic Cartoons cancelled the project.

As of 2020, there are no plans to release the entire series on any home media format worldwide, but you can get it in French on iTunes.
