The Alvin and the Chipmunks Greatest Hits marathon was a special 8-hour Alvin and the Chipmunks marathon that aired on February 21, 1999 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Among the songs played included: "Beat It," "Born to be Wild," "Ghostbusters," "The Heat is On," "Twist and Shout," "I Love L.A.," "Celebration," "On the Road Again," "Bad to the Bone" and 23 others.[1] The marathon's bumpers and promos featured live-action actors dressed as Alvin in an apartment.
